MUSCLE. Towards Multiscale Cluster Interference

07.02.2020

The Austrian Science Funds has granted us a new project: Multiscale Cluster Interference (MUSCLE)

This project builds on the successful realization of our Long-Baseline-Universal Matter Wave Interferometer  LUMI 1.0 [1-4] and extends it substantially by realizing a scalable source for cryogenically cold metal clusters as well as by upgrading LUMI 1.0 to LUMI 2.0, an all-optical cluster interferometer with continuous UV photodepletion gratings.
