The Shanghai Ranking 2023 report has placed our university's Physics Department in an impressive position on the global academic stage. In the field of physics, we have secured the 48th position worldwide and the 20th place in Europe. This remarkable achievement highlights our department's commitment to excellence in physics education and research. Within the DACH region, we stand proud as the 5th best institution for physics, trailing only behind renowned universities such as Geneva (#19), ETH Zurich and Munich (both #36), and Heidelberg (#45). Notably, we've outperformed EPFL, which follows closely at #49, further solidifying our status as a leading institution in physics.
